Start a clean-up where you are.

You do not need a big team to start. A clean-up can be one person, two friends, a class, a church group, a workplace team, or a whole community.

Keep it safe. Keep it simple. Dispose properly.

STEP 1

Choose a Safe Spot

Choose a place that is easy to access and safe to clean.

Good options:

School compound

Church frontage

Workplace surroundings

Shopfront

Bus stop area

Market edge

Residential street

Community park

Avoid drains, gutters, floodwater, traffic lanes, construction areas, and unsafe spaces.

STEP 2

Gather Basic Items

You may need:

Gloves

Bags

Hand sanitiser

Drinking water

Comfortable shoes

Nose mask if needed

Phone for photos

Contact for disposal or collection if available

STEP 3

Clean Safely

Pick what is safe. Work slowly. Do not touch anything risky.

If something is unsafe, take a photo and report it instead.

STEP 4

Dispose Properly

The clean-up is not complete until the waste is dropped at the right place.

Use a proper bin, public skip, collection point, or approved disposal site.

If there is nowhere proper to dispose of it, tell us. That is part of the evidence we are building.

STEP 5

Share the Action

Post or send your photos with #CleanGhanaChallenge #SpotItDropItTagIt.

Then tag someone else to do the same.
